GIANT D254SW TELE HD GROUNDSKEEPER AT TCI

Unique GIANT loader for tree care industry and gardeners at TCI

TOBROCO-GIANT USA has developed a special version of the D254SW TELE with the help and feedback from the tree care industry and gardeners. They were looking for a manoeuvrable machine, which is narrow enough to get into the gardens of customer, but still has enough power to transport tree trunks. The machine will be present at booth 405 at the TCI Expo in Charlotte (NC).

The GROUNDSKEEPER comes standard with an HD drive system, which means that the machine has larger wheel motors and a bigger gear pump for extra traction and pulling force.  Grass tires prevent the machine from damaging the surface (lawn) and making the machine easy to handle.

When it comes to the technique the GROUNDKEEPER also differs from the standard D254SW TELE. The machine is equipped with a different joystick, so that the lifting arm slides in and out with two pushbuttons. Furthermore, there are two additional double-acting functions that can be operated electrically / hydraulically with the joystick (press the push-button on the joystick and then move it to the left or right).

On request, the loader can be equipped with a special package, including a toolbox, chainsaw holder, footplate protector and various other items. This allows the operator to store all the materials he needs during his work on the machine (chain saw, rake, broom, ropes, oil, etc.).

Attachments that are often delivered with a GROUNDKEEPER are a tree grapple with rotator, branch grapple or broken stone fork with grapple.

GIANT LOADERS AND TELEHANDLERS AT GIE+EXPO

Whether it concerns landscaping, hardscaping, municipalities or anyone who maintains roads and paths: GIANT machines clean, sweep and demolish! At GIE+EXPO TOBROCO-GIANT will show exactly how versatile the loaders and telehandlers can be.

Nowadays work has to be carried out as efficiently as possible, regardless of the sector, and deadlines are widely represented. The increasing labor shortage in many industries is intensifying this pressure. At the same time, everyone has an obligation to ensure that people have a safe and comfortable workplace. Machines from TOBROCO-GIANT present themselves as multifunctional all-rounders that help to make work easier and more efficient in a safe way.

Wide range of machines and attachments
During the show TOBROCO-GIANT will have five machines at booth 11608. The SK251D mini skid steer will be displayed with a hedge trimmer and there will be three loaders (D254SW. V452T HD and V6004T X-TRA) and one telehandler (4548 TENDO). The wheel loaders are equipped with a finishing mower, flail mower and sweeper broom. The perfect attachments for maintaining lawns, fields and roads or drive ways.

At the outdoor demonstration area (booth 7460-D) there is the possibility to try the machines and to see how the compact dimensions ensure that the machines can operate in small spaces. Test the articulated pendulum joint that provides maneuverability and stability over uneven terrain without any compromise to the performance. Here you can find two telescopic loaders (D254SW TELE and V6004T TELE) and two loaders (D263SW X-TRA and V452T X-TRA HD). Shift some logs with the D254SW TELE and experience how powerful the smallest loader from TOBROCO-GIANT is.

GIANT brands expands throughout US
Since the start of TOBROCO-GIANT USA in 2016 the dealer network and number of satisfied customers had increased rapidly. Customers  and dealers see the benefits of GIANT machines and experience these on a daily basis. More owners buy compact wheel loaders because of their terrain friendly maneuverability and ease of operation. EXPANSION TOBROCO-GIANT

Tobroco-Giant has grown rapidly in recent years. Due to the continuous demand for loaders, telehandlers and skid steers as well as the introduction of new models, the demand has exceeded GIANTs expectations.  For the coming years the expectations are that the demand will increase even further and therefore Tobroco-Giant will expand its current production facility in Oisterwijk.

First, Research & Development and the sales department move to a new and modern location in Oisterwijk (The Netherlands). The newly built property will accommodate all the technical gadgets that are necessary to develop new and innovative products. Tobroco-Giant will invest in cleaner stage V diesel engines and electrically powered machines in the coming years. The current location where R & D and sales are located will be added to the production site, which will result in more capacity.

Increased production area
The expansion of production at the current location will take place in different stages. In total, the production facility will be increased with 8,000 m2 and continues to be divided over two storeys to make optimal use of the available space. There will be the new production lines that run LEAN and also the "paperless" production will be implemented even further. In addition, more pre-assembly will take place and will be centralised . This improves lead times and components can be transported faster to the production lines. Automation is further balanced with various suppliers. Furthermore, Tobroco-Giant continues to invest in welding techniques such as the 2 newly installed welding robots, bending machines and spindle machines. This will help to increase production and the optimise the quality.

Smart storage and internal distribution
For the storage of parts, production and service, a high-rise warehouse of 16 meters high will be built. The warehouse will be driven completely automatically. Incoming goods for the warehouse will be received via several new loading docks. This ensures that the parts and finished products will not cross each other anymore. Roller banks are used to transport the incoming goods to the temporary storage location where various (quality) checks take place. Some of the goods then go directly to production and a part is stored in the warehouse. Just in time delivery and maintaining high quality are the "key words".

In order to ensure an efficient supply of parts, there has already been an investment in a new automation system. A computer system controls the entire logistics process and ensures that the right quantities are picked up from the warehouse. Electric trolleys will make various rounds on a daily basis and ensure that everything will be in the right place. During the building process the possibility for adding conveyor belts at a later stage will be taken into account.

COMPACT LOADERS FROM TOBROCO-GIANT AT GIE+EXPO

For the second year in a row TOBROCO-GIANT USA will be present at GIE+EXPO. This year TOBROCO-GIANT will focus on the 10 reasons to buy a GIANT wheel loader instead of a skid steer loader. Besides the fact that GIANT machines are bridging the gap between skid steer loaders and large wheel loaders, there are many other reasons. Safety, fuel efficiency, versatility and a high productivity are only a few of the reasons. At booth 11068 and on the outdoor demonstration area you will find skid steer loaders, (telescopic) wheel loaders, telehandlers and attachments. So you can experience the benefits of a GIANT for yourself.

Machines on display
Inside the Kentucky Exposition Center, TOBROCO-GIANT USA will display the SK251D mini skidsteer loader. This skid combines a low weight (1,780 lbs) and compact size (width of 36.2 inch) with a high tractive force and tipping load (646 lbs.).

Next to the skid steer loader there will be three wheel loaders and one telescopic loaders at the stand. The D263SW loader is powered by 4 heavy Poclain wheel motors making this GIANT to drive on rough terrain. An electric controlled differential lock can be enabled to ensure minimal friction to the surface. The second loader meets the demand for machines with a higher driving speed. The V452T HD has 26500 lbs. axles and a bigger gear pump, and is characterized by a driving speed up to 17.5 mph with an increasing pulling force. The V6004T is the largest loader available and is powered by a 60 hp Kubota engine. The driving mechanism is an hydrostatic 4 wheel drive with automotive control and 31000 lbs. axles with planetary end drive. This gives the machine a top speed of 17.5 mph. With a tipping load of 4820 lbs. this wheel loader can perform a wide range of activities.

For activities that demand a higher reach, there is a telescopic loaders on the stand.
The D254SW TELE is the smallest telescopic loader from the range and combines a lifting capacity of 1,650 lbs. with a lifting height of more than 9 ft..

See for yourself at the demo area
On the outdoor demonstration area there is the possibility to look and feel how GIANT machines operate. Their will be four machines and a wide range of attachments available to show how versatile GIANT machines really are. Visitors can experience the skid steer loader, D263SW and V452T X-TRA HD wheel loaders and D254SW TELE.

An X-TRA model is characterized by its extra low front frame and thus a lower centre of gravity of the load in comparison to the machine, resulting in a significantly higher tipping load. For instance the V452T X-TRA HD has a tipping load of 5,940 lbs, compared with 4,840 lbs. for the standard model.

Our experts can provide detailed information about GIANT machines, their performance and the full range of options and attachments that we have available. We hope to welcome you at booth 11068!

Stabilo System ensures extra safety and comfort for wheel loaders

TOBROCO-GIANT has developed an innovative stabilizing system for its wheel loaders. This patented system stabilizes the oscillating operation of the machine to make sure that all the wheels stay on the ground when you make a sharp turn with a heavy load on the front. Another advantage is that the system provides more comfort on uneven terrain.

The Stabilo System can be enabled with a switch in the cabin. Hydraulic pressure will be released on the cylinders that are mounted on both sides of the pivoting point. When the wheel loader makes a turn then the pressure on the side were you turn to is less than the side were it needs to push. So automatically the pivoting point is pushed to the centre and is levelling the machine.

The system is available as option for GIANT wheel loaders starting from D263S until V452T X-TRA HD.

15,000th GIANT loader rolls off production line

Tobroco-Giant is proud to announce it has manufactured it's 15.00th loader. Production and sales have doubled the last three years and the company has seen growth numbers increase over the last seven consecutive years.

The 15,000th GIANT rolls off the production line

TOBROCO-GIANT and its factory in Oisterwijk, the Netherlands, reached an impressive milestone by producing the 15.000th GIANT loader. This was celebrated with a special ceremony where founder and owner Toine Brock handed the keys of the 15,000th machine to the Beel Firm, the Belgian distributor of GIANT. This company has been selling GIANT’s since 2002. After years of their dedication and hard work, the Beel Firm has become the exclusive importer of GIANT machinery for Belgium since 2011 and for France since 2015.

Strong growth

The first GIANT wheel loader was produced in 2001 and since then the demand for GIANT machines has increased rapidly. Due to this demand and the expansion of the range with telescopic loaders and telehandlers, TOBROCO-GIANT produced the 10,000th machine in 2014. In 2016 the company recorded the seventh consecutive year of annual sales growth. This growth was achieved by the introduction of new models such as mini-skidsteer loaders and the expansion of its worldwide dealer network. The increased sales meant a 50% rise in produced machines, and last week the 15,000th GIANT rolled off the production line.

Tobroco-Giant USA will present a wide range of machinery at the Green Industry & Equipment expo in Kentucky. At booth 11068 and on the outdoor demonstration area you will find mini-skidsteers, (telescopic) wheel loaders, telehandlers and attachments. GIANT loaders have a high productivity and the wide range of attachments make these machines versatile and suitable for many jobsites. Precisely how versatile these machines are will be shown at the demonstration area.

Machines on display
Inside the Kentucky Exposition Center, Tobroco-Giant USA will display the brand new
SK 251 D. This wheeled mini-skidsteer has a 25 HP Kubota engine and is equipped with 4 powerful hydraulic wheel motors, which have a low need of maintenance. GIANT skidsteer loaders combine a low weight (1,780 lbs.) and compact sizes with a high tractive force and tipping load.

There will be three wheel loaders at the stand. The 25 HP Kubota powered D254SW can be described as a ‘compact powerhouse’ because the machine has a service weight of 2,420 lbs. and a maximum tipping load of 2,400 lb.
The other two wheel loaders are “X-TRA” models. An X-TRA model is characterized by its lower front frame and thus a lower centre of gravity of the load in comparison to the machine, resulting in a significantly higher tipping load. There is the D263SW X-TRA  with a service weight of 3,350 lbs. and 26 horsepower engine and the second machine is the V452T X-TRA HD. This GIANT is equipped with a 45 horsepower engine, 12-tonnes axles and bigger gear pump so it can reach a driving speed of 17.5 mph and has an increased pulling force. With a tipping load of 4,950 lbs. the V452T X-tra HD can handle many challenging jobs.

For activities that demand a high reach, a telescopic loader (V6004T Tele) is on display. This machine is the largest telescopic loader available, powered by a 60 HP Kubota engine. It’s driven by a hydrostatic 4-wheel drive with automotive control and 14 Ton axles with planetary end drive. This gives the machine a top speed of 17.5 mph. Lift heights up to 170 inch can be reached to perform a wide range of activities.

Demonstrating versatility
The outdoor demonstration area of Tobroco-Giant USA displays five machines and a wide range of attachments showing the versatility of GIANT machines. Visitors can experience the mini skidsteer, D254SW and V452T X-TRA HD wheel loaders, D254SW telescopic wheel loader and 4548 Tendo HD telehandler.

The D254SW Tele is the smallest telescopic loader from the range and combines a compact design with a lifting height of 111 inches. This makes the machine easy to operate in tight spaces. Despite its compact sizes the GIANT has a lifting capacity of 1,650 lbs.

GIANT’s 4548 Tendo HD is one of the most compact and versatile telehandlers available.
The machine is designed to manoeuvre in tight spaces and on rough terrain, while its extendable lifting arm can reach a height of 189 inches.

Green performance
Bauma 2016 will be the first exhibition were visitors can see the electric GIANT skid steer loader in action. GIANT will demonstrate this concept on our demo area to show the latest innovation that meets the customers’ needs. Visitors can experience the low noise levels and emission-free work of this compact and flexible machine that can even be operated via remote control.

Another machine that will make its debut on a trade fair for construction machinery is the V761T TELE. This ultimate tool carrier is the largest GIANT telescopic wheel loader available. Powered by a  76 hp Deutz diesel engine, the machine is extremely powerful and compliant with Stage IIIB and Tier 4 final standards. The integrated intelligent power management system ensures optimum distribution of the available engine power on the drive and work hydraulics. In combination with a lifting height of 5.1 meters, the V761 is unique in its class.

Demonstrating versatility
There is a demo area with four machines and a wide range of attachments to show how versatile Giant machines really are. Beside the electric skid visitors can experience a skid steer loader with 25 hp diesel engine (SK251D), D254SW Telescopic wheel loader and V452T X-TRA HD wheel loader. This Heavy Duty wheel loader from the X-TRA series is known for high tipping load and lifting capacity. The D254SW TELE is a compact, powerful, machine with a lifting height of over 2.8 meters. The machines will demonstrate their versatility by using various attachments per machine for different areas of application.

New machine on display
Next to the demonstration machines, GIANT will display the new V5003 X-TRA HD. This new model is equipped with a 50 hp Kubota engine and has a hydrostatic 4 wheel drive with automotive control and 14 tons axles.  With a tipping load of 3.800 kg and a top speed up to 28 km/u, the V5003 X-TRA HD is a perfect fit for customers who have a demand for high productivity.

Especially for road construction we have a D204SW and D332SWT X-TRA wheel loader on display with attachments that are suitable for that range of work. For the jobs that demand a high reach, we have the GIANT 4548 Tendo telehandler  and a telescopic version of the V5003 wheel loader.

VERSATILE GIANT SKID STEER IN FULL PRODUCTION

GIANT revealed its first skid steer loader during the GIANT open days in October 2014. After more than a year of development and testing the little GIANT is ready for production. Especially for this range of compact machines we have built a new and modern production line at the end of 2015. Since January of this year, the line is in full production.

It’s clear that these powerful and all-round machines are the right expansion of the current range of machinery. The first machines are already delivered to dealers in Germany, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Denmark and United Kingdom.

GIANT skid steer loaders combine a low weight (750 kg) and compact sizes with a high tractive force and tipping load. This makes the machines extremely flexible and suitable to use for different areas of application. Together with a wide range of attachments it is possible to adjust a GIANT skid steer loader to working conditions for agricultural purposes, (road) construction, property maintenance or for private use.

The current range of skid steer loaders exists of 3 different models. One gasoline version with 21 HP (SK 211 G) and two diesel version with 20 HP (SK 201 D) or 25 HP (SK 251 D). The machines are equipped with 4 powerful hydraulic wheel motors, which have a low need of maintenance.

Cutter arm with mulching unit

GIANT offers a cutter arm which is suitable as a front attachment. Unlike when the device is installed behind a tractor or loader, the driver has a good view on his work. The modern cutter arm is perfect for mowing roadsides and ditch borders and pruning hedges and various planting beds.

The cutter arm has a reach of 3,4 meters and has a hydraulic obstacle protection. This protects the arm and the mower from damages. In addition, the cutter arms have a parallel arm geometry. This relieves the driver, because the position of the tool doesn’t has to be corrected when changing the scoop. A mulching unit is mounted on the arm with two hydraulically driven, rotating blades. The mower has a working width of 1,25 meters.

For optimal functioning of the mower, your GIANT has to possess a minimum oil output of 46 L/min (210 bar). In addition, a double gear pump, stabilo system and pro-inching are required. The patented stabilo system ensures high stability of the machine. With the pro-inching function, the mower operates on a fixed rpm and you can control your driving speed with the foot pedal. A leak oil connection and 12 Volt connection on the lifting arm are also required.

The control of the arm and mower will take place in the cabin, through more-lever cable control or single-lever electro-proportional control. With the more-lever principle, you can operate four levers each with a cable connected to cutter arm. You can also choose for single-lever control. For this option you control an electro-proportional joystick, and you can turn the mower on and off. After using the mower you can disconnect the mower with the hydraulic quick change, so the wheel loader can also be used for other activities.
